All Rivercats coaches must complete the registration criteria outlined below before regular Jan 31, 2026.

Step 1

Register with USA Lacrosse: COACH Membership 

• This needs to be valid through May 31, 2026
• Coaches need BRONZE level certification
• Coaches can Join or Renew USA Lacrosse Membership HERE
• Included in Bronze Certification
• Cleared Background Check
• Abuse Prevention Training
• Cardiac Care Training
• Concussion Training
• Cultural Competency
• Annual Rules Test
• This should take approximately 3.5 hours

Step 2

Register with the Wine Country Lacrosse Conference

• WCLC registration includes a Signed League and Club Code of Conduct (View HERE)

ADDITIONAL COACH REQUIREMENTS 

California AB 506 

All employees and volunteers that work with children 16 hours per month or more are required by the CA Law AB 506 to get a live scan/fingerprinting, background check and California Mandated Reporter Training.
